This week feels like my first official week of summer because I don't have to go to class. I'm finishing up my last graduate class! I'm so excited! The only problem is I have a hard time spending time doing the work every day.
We're working on getting ready for our beach vacation. On Monday, we met with our friends to go over the details and had a little cookout. I'm getting ready by finishing up some shopping, getting a new haircut, and I got the cutest nautical pair of Toms.
Brent painted a huge chalkboard for us to hang up and he's been busy in the yard. My goal today is to finish some of my work so I can enjoy my weekend! :)

Fun Summer Week
Last week, I had a great summer week. I finished up my 10th grad. class, so going to school from 8-1 everyday was not the best part of the week.
On Tuesday, Brent and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We spent the day together going on a little road trip. We went to Gaffney Outlets to shop. Then, we went to Charlotte to eat at Cheesecake Factory. It was so yummy! Brent surprised me with tickets to the Lion King and some other really cute gifts! He's so good to me!
On Wednesday, all of my teacher friends went shopping in Greenville. We're getting ready to go to a wedding so we had to get our dresses. It was lots of fun!
Friday night, we went to see the Lion King at the Peace Center. It was amazing! Everything about it was so good! I love all the cute songs and the beautiful costumes! I'm looking forward to going back to a play really soon. Before the play, we went to dinner at Rick Erwin's. It was so good and probably the best restaurant I've ever been too! Brent definitely spoiled me this week!
On Saturday, we babysat Jackson for a little bit and then we celebrated Candice's 26th birthday by going to Downtown Greenville. We had lots of fun going out to eat and getting gelato. It was such a beautiful evening downtown.
I've had such a great week! It definitely is beginning to feel more like summer!

Happy 2 Years!
Today is our 2 year anniversary! It's hard to believe that it's been two years since we said I do. We had such a beautiful wedding with our family and friends. It was such a special day. I'm so blessed to have married by best friend and high school sweetheart. It definitely gets better every day. We've had a wonderful 2nd year together! I can't wait for many more!
I'm so excited to spend the day with Brent and watch our wedding video tonight. I'm so glad that we have summers off so we can spend our anniversary together each year. (Too bad I had to go to class this morning.)We're going shopping and to eat in Charlotte today and we have a few more surprises later this week! Wish we were off to the Bahamas again, but Cheesecake Factory will do! :)

Sweet Summertime!
Summer is here! It's hard to believe the school is over and summer has begun. I had the best year this year with my 3rd graders. They were my best class yet and I'm so sad to have them leave. We had a great few weeks together with parties and awards' day.
I've been really busy over the past few weeks. We moved Riley to Columbia, had Relay for Life, and celebrated my Mom and Dad's birthdays. Lindsay came to visit and the Ivey kids spent the night. I only have 4 more weeks of grad school. I'm so excited to be done! 2 weeks of getting up early and then a summer of relaxing is ahead of me.
This past week we celebrated Jackson's 1st birthday. It's hard to believe a year has already passed. We went to Mellow Mushroom for his birthday and went to his wonderful birthday party yesterday. It was so cute! We had a great time!

Baby James in here!
James Strom arrived on Tuesday, May 1st. Since we've taught with Amy her entire pregnancy we all feel like it's our child, too! I guessed the date, so I was excited about that. We spent the entire day getting updates and were able to see James on Tuesday evening. He is so cute! He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces. We were so excited to finally see him!

Little Man Shower
The third grade teachers threw Amy and baby James a shower 2 weeks ago. I searched Pinterest for an inspiration and discovered the little man theme. I knew this theme would be perfect for Amy. I love the mustaches and ties! We had a wonderful shower and baby James got lots of great gifts. Here's a look at baby James' Little Man Shower!

Birthday Weekend-26!
Last weekend I celebrated my 26th birthday. It was a pretty low key birthday since I have so much going on at school and finishing up with graduate school. I always love my birthday and try to make a week out of all the festivities. It was really nice to relax and get some rest. My kids spoiled me with some gifts and goodies on Friday. Friday night, my mom and I went shopping. It's been a while since I've been shopping for myself. On Saturday, I spent the day at home and then went shopping with Brent. We went to Clemson and Greenville for the day. On Saturday night, we celebrated with my family at Trio. I had a delicious chocolate cake and some great gifts. I ate dinner at my grandparents and with the Jacksons later on in the week. Brent and I also went to Sullivan's this weekend for a late birthday dinner. I enjoyed spending time with my family and was so grateful for all my gifts. I got lots of great dresses for the summer! I'm looking forward to a great year!

Happy Anniversary!
Happy 30 Year Anniversary to my parents! I'm so thankful for my wonderful parents! They are wonderful role models and I'm so thankful for their marriage and all they do for us. I hope they have many, many more years together! We love you!
Happy Easter!
We had a wonderful and busy Easter celebrating with family! It was a beautiful day to celebrate our Risen Lord! After church, I came home and finished a few treats. I made some Bunny Mix on Saturday and a lot of it was eaten by two little boys in my house. :) It was really good and looked cute with the pastel M&Ms. I'll definitely be making more of it, because Brent really liked it. I also made strawberry cupcakes from a recipe I found on Pinterest. I love making cupcakes and these turned out so cute! I'm pretty sure everyone liked them because I only came home with 3 last night.
We started the day eating at my Rosie's and then headed to Greenville with Brent's family. We ate dinner with my family at my Nana and Papa's. It was a busy day full of lots of eating and spending time together!

Spring Break Fun
We had a great end of Spring Break this week! I was so glad to have Monday off today, too! It's so sad that it's going to be over tomorrow, but I'm excited to see my kids again. It won't be long until summer gets here!
On Thursday and Friday, I spent a lot of time doing my school work. Only 2 more weeks of these 2 classes! I went to see Candice's new house and did some shopping with my Mom and Nana. Lindsay came to stay for the weekend, so it was great catching up with her. It was a nice relaxing Thursday and Friday!
On Saturday, the kids came over and we had a little Easter egg hunt. They had so much fun hiding the eggs. We also hid the eggs for Brent, Lindsay, and Josh. It was lots of fun! I always loved finding Easter eggs when I was young at my grandparents' house. On Saturday night, we went to Greenville with Lindsay and Josh. We ate at Liberty and went to the Drive game. It was a beautiful night for a baseball game. We left a little early and let the boys get an ice cream at Marble Slab.
We watched the Master' all weekend and cheered on Bubba! We had a wonderful Spring Break!

Biltmore House
On Wednesday, Brent and I went to the Biltmore House. We wanted to go somewhere for the day and thought this would be a fun trip. We actually bought a yearly pass for the Biltmore this year. It was a great deal and I've always wanted to go at Christmas and different times of the year. We got there a little after lunch and went through the house. My favorite part is the indoor pool! We went through the village and had some ice cream. My favorite part was the gardens! They were beautiful this time of year! The tulip garden and azaleas were the best! It was a fun day trip and I'm looking forward to going back several times this year!
