Apples and Fall

We had a wonderful fall weekend this past weekend. On Saturday, we had our Fall Festival at school. It was lots of fun! Then, I spent the evening cheering on my Tigers! Woohoo! 7-0!


On Sunday, Brent and I headed to North Carolina for some fall fun. We went to Justus Orchards to pick some apples. Unfortunately, the apples had all been picked off the trees so we just got to mix and match our bags. We got so many apples! Since we had a short trip we decided to go to Ashville and walk around the Grove Park Inn. It's one of my favorite places! It's beautiful and so relaxing. I can't wait to go back later this fall.

Fall Weekend

We got to check 2 things off our Fall Bucket List this weekend. Lindsay came into town and we planned a nice fall Friday night. We went out to eat and went to a pumpkin patch. There were so many great pumpkins and we picked out a orange and white pumpkin for our front porch.

The boys decided to carve pumpkins Friday night. It was a little too cool for me, so I stayed inside and drank some apple cider. The boys did a great job on their pumpkins! Too bad Bryan's fell apart on Saturday.

It was a great October weekend! I'm looking forward to our trip to the apple orchard next weekend. We have lots more to cross off our Fall list.

Clemson Homecoming

This Saturday was Clemson's homecoming. We played Boston College and won 36-14. We are now 6-0! Go Tigers! It was a beautiful day in Clemson and I loved being able to be outside and tailgate. We went and saw the floats and then enjoyed the day eating lots of food and cheering on our Tigers!

Final Room Makeover Pictures

The Room Makeover is complete! We love our new guest room! It's much better than I imagined. The Real Deal team did a wonderful job! It was so great to come home each day and see the improvements being made in the room. They were able to take some of my style and mix it with what they thought looked best! We have our first guests coming today to test it out. Enjoy!

Fall is on the way

I am loving the weather right now! We have cooler weather with beautiful blue skies! We've also started getting our Halloween decorations out and getting the house ready for Fall. I love it!

Painting Projects

This past Sunday I spent the day painting and being crafty. I've had several craft items on my to do list and finally had a chance to get some of them done.

First, I got my wooden initials in the mail that I ordered. I painted it and hung it on the front door! I love it so much! It's one of my favorite things I've ordered.

Next, I painted a pumpkin with chalkboard paint. I saw a picture of one on Pinterest and thought it would be cute to try. I took it to school today and the kids thought it was neat.

I saw another example of painted initials on Pinterest and decided to paint some for our bedroom. It doesn't look perfect, but it's pretty cute!

I'm happy with all my craft projects for the weekend. There's still lots more to try!

Lately...

It's been super busy around here lately. The weeks have been full of teaching. I really love my class this year and I'm love trying new things with my kids. We celebrated Grandparents' Day last week. I love meeting all the sweet grandparents. We wrote poems about our grandparents and drew portraits of them. The portraits were so funny and so accurate! I always enjoy Fun Friday Snacks each week! (One of the many perks of being a teacher.) My kids have decided they're going to be teachers so they can have all the snacks one day.

 The weekends have been full of Tiger football and working on grad work! My 5th class started today. My Tigers are doing great! We are 5-0 and loving every minute! I was glad to have a week off this past weekend and just watch the game at home. Brent and I love hanging out with Jackson at the games.
