On Kelly's Korner blog today she is featuring desserts! I love looking over all the desserts and can't wait to make some of them. Desserts are definitely my favorite things to eat. I thought I would share one of my favorite recipes for Peanut Butter Pie. I got it out of a magazine and it's really easy and very good!
Here's how to make it:
Ingredients:
1 cup of Peanut Butter
1 package of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1-12 oz. container of whipped topping
1 chocolate pie crust
1 jar of hot fudge topping
Directions:
1. Beat together 1 cup of peanut butter, cream cheese, and sugar until well combined. Mix in 3 cups whipped topping until combined. Spoon mixture into pie crust.
2. Microwave hot fudge topping and spread over pie. Cover the entire peanut butter layer. Refrigerate until set. Spread remaining whipped topping over the hot fudge layer.
3. Enjoy! Super easy and so yummy!

Busy Weekend
We had such a busy weekend! I'm actually looking forward to getting my wisdom teeth out so I can get a little rest.
Thursday and Friday-On Thursday, we went to a Dance Recital. We watched some girls in my class and some of our family friends. They all did such a great job! It makes me wish I had dance lessons. On Friday night, we went to Relay for Life. I enjoy seeing everyone and walking around the track.
It was a busy weekend, but so much fun!

Saturday-Brent and I went to Adam and Kaileigh's wedding. It was so beautiful! The Tiger came and Grayson got her first visit with the Tiger. She did such a great job. On Saturday night, we went to Greenville to celebrate Josh's 25th birthday. He had an awesome tackle box cake.

Crepe Cake
I wanted to find something yummy to make for my Mom's birthday and I stumbled upon this recipe for a Crepe Cake. I've been wanting to make some crepes lately, so this was a great opportunity. It was really good, but it has to be eaten right when you make it. When I tried to reheat it the next day, it was not very good.
First, you have to make the lemon cream cheese icing and set it aside. Then you have to make about 20-30 crepes. I made the crepes from scratch, so it took a little longer. I layered 2-3 crepes and then added the filling. I repeated the layering until it was done. After I finished, I added some whipped cream and strawberries. This would be a great cake to take to a brunch this summer! Enjoy!

Wedding Flashback-PINK!
It is one month until our 1 year anniversary! I cannot believe it! The year has flown by! It's hard to believe how slow the year was waiting to get married, but how fast this year has gone by. I can't wait to enjoy the summer and our vacation trip together! It will be lots of fun!
I love the color pink! It's definitely my favorite color and I knew I just had to use it in my wedding. It was pretty easy deciding to use pink and orange. Orange is Brent's favorite color and pink and orange have become very popular colors together.
I used pink bridesmaids dresses and pink flowers. I had pink on my cake and for the table runners. The Dads wore pink ties and the flower girls had pink sashes. But the best pink of all was my pink shoes! I love them. I saw them in the store the day I bought my dress and I just had to have them! They are so cute and everyone complimented them the entire wedding! It was definitely unique! My flower girls wore pink shoes too! It made for the cutest pictures.

4 Things I want to be right now....
4. Hard Core Blogger-I want to be one of these bloggers that all Southern girls love to read. It would be so cool to get treats and goodies from other bloggers and blog about them. I would be a wonderful stay at home Mom. I could blog and craft.
3. Cupcake Maker-I've been watching Cupcake Wars a lot and I've decided I should be a cupcake maker. It would be so fun to design cupcakes. The only problem is I don't really know how to bake unless it's on the back of a cake box. :)
2. Wedding Planner-With wedding season coming up I'm reminded of how much I love weddings. I would be a wonderful wedding planner. I love to tell other people what to do and keep things in order. What's better than watching people in love every weekend? Maybe one day I'll get my chance.

Design with Wine
This past Thursday my teacher friends and I went to Downtown Greenville to Design with Wine. Design with Wine is a place you can go and paint a canvas of a certain picture. They bring in an artist and you can bring snacks and drinks. You start with a blank canvas and in about 2 hours you have a complete painting to take home with you. We had the best time!! We laughed and laughed and everyone did a great job. You have to listen the whole time because the artist goes fast. It's really hard for a bunch of teachers to sit and listen to someone for 2 hours! We did the Charleston Pineapple Fountain. It looked hard and we couldn't imagine we were going to be able to do it. We actually all did a wonderful job! We were so impressed. We're planning on going back next month for another painting. I would highly recommend it! I didn't even know I was an artist. :)

5 Things I'm excited about today...
5. My new calendar that I got today! I love scheduling and getting things in order. My new calendar is super cute too!
4. The new Martha Stewart magazine that came in the mail today. It looks like it has some cute summer ideas in it. I'm excited to chill out and look up some new things!
3. Going to Design with Wine on Thursday night with my 3rd grade friends! I can't wait! We're going to have a great time together. Who knows what the painting will actually look like? (Pictures to follow) :)
2. Summer is right around the corner. Which means our 1 year anniversary is coming up too! We're looking for a place to vacation now. I wish we could go back to the Bahamas!!
1. Being alive!! I feel so blessed with my job, friends, family, and my husband. I am beyond blessed and I work hard to remember that each day when I complain about petty little things. This Bible verse always helps me remember when things seem hard God is always there for us. I have been blessed with immeasurably more than I could ever imagine!
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." Ephesians 3:20

Mother's Day 2011
We had a wonderful Mother's Day today! The weather as beautiful and it was the perfect day to honor our Moms. Brent and I cooked lunch for my family and dinner for his family. We enjoyed cooking and it was nice to honor our Moms. They cook every Sunday so it was a nice break for them.
I am so blessed to have a wonderful Mom! I would not be the person I am today without her. She is a wonderful, Christian mother and taught me everything I know. She's beautiful inside and out and continues to show me how to be a good person. I hope that I am just as good as a Mom as she is to my brother and me. She's not only a wonderful Mom, but she's definitely my best friend. Since I've been married, my Mom and I have grown closer. I can't go a day without talking to her. I'm so thankful to have her in my life! I love you Mom!

Looking back on year 24!
Happy Birthday to Me!!
Last Thursday, I celebrated my 25th birthday! I always celebrate my birthday for weeks! This week was super busy. Here's the down low on my 25th birthday celebrations:
Thursday-My Dad ate lunch with me at school and my Mom made cupcakes for my class. It's always fun to be at school on your birthday. My kids make me feel super special! Brent and I went out to eat at Tucker's and then cut cake with the kids and his family.
Friday-I took the day off and rested! It was so nice! I watched the Royal Wedding and had such a great time enjoying every moment of it. Brent and I spent the night in Greenville and loved spending lots of time together.
Saturday-We went with my family to Mellow Mushroom and out of the boat. It was so relaxing. I'm so glad we have a Mellow Mushroom now!
Sunday-We celebrated with our friends at Fiesta! It was nice to see everyone and get together!
It was a very busy and wonderful birthday week! I got so many great gifts! I am so blessed with a wonderful husband, family, and friends. I hope this year will be just as great as last year!
